Maurice Duruflé
(1902 - 1986)

A pupil of Tournemire and Vierne. This fabulous organist and composer only published 13 works in his lifetime...all of them are treasures of beauty. He composed in the traditional, romantic style. His beautiful Requiem is gaining popularity and a number of recordings are available. He made three versions of the work. We recommend the version for choir and full orchestra.
