Franz Schubert
(1797 - 1828)

Schubert was a Vienna-born composer who created a fairly large body of great music.

He wrote a large number of songs, and is considered to be the greatest songwriter of all times. He also composed beautiful works for the piano, some passionately beautiful masses, and a number of wonderful chamber compositions.

Schubert was a very great composer, gifted in a way that only a mortal being in touch with the divine can be gifted. He died at the age of 31!
