A Radio Program

DoveSong.com is proposing a weekly 1-hour radio program to broadcast, via such channels as Public Radio International or Public Broadcasting System and the Internet, internationally. This program would feature positive music of all kinds, from all cultures and times. The internet radio show would eventually be expanded to include a visual side as well.

Shows would be in sets of 52, one for each week of the year. Therefore, the shows would tie in seasonally with times of the year. Back issues of the show would be always available on the internet. All the shows would be available for broadcast, each year's set would not be associated with a particular year, but would have a name, and perhaps a something in the set that would become common. Therefore, there would be no restriction as to what year the series was broadcast in. The only restriction would be that the season would be maintained.

Therefore if a station wanted to pick up the show in summer, that station would start with the week that they started in, then continue with that series until the 52 were completed.

It is not known how many sets of shows would be created. A guess would be four.

DoveSong.com is actively seeking funding for this project. If you are interested in participating or know someone who is, then please contact us.

These programs would feature music from all cultures that have produced great, positive music. Some shows would be dedicated to a particular musical subject. Other shows would be programmed in such a way that musical compositions from different cultures would be intermixed to create a fabric of music that blended from one to another.

Taking on the show would be at a minimum, with the emphasis placed on the music. A supplement for each show, however, would be available on the show's website where more detailed information about the music on the show would be presented.
